Prince Charles To Walk Meghan Markle Down the Aisle
With only a day to go, everyone’s attention has been sharply focussed on Windsor. Tomorrow, Prince Henry of Wales, sixth-in-line to the British throne, will marry former Suits actress Ms Meghan Markle.
But this week, unfortunately, has not been as easy as fairytales make it out to be.
Ms Markle’s father, Thomas, was at the centre of controversy earlier in the week as it emerged he had tipped-off the press to stage photos of him preparing for the wedding. In the midst of a media frenzy, he underwent heart surgery and now will be unable to attend his daughter’s wedding.
In the absence of her father, Kensington Palace has revealed that Prince Charles will now walk Ms Markle down the aisle of St George’s Chapel tomorrow afternoon.
Ms Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, will however, take her daughter to the wedding.
Ms Ragland has arrived at Windsor Castle to meet the Queen for the first time, accompanied by Ms Markle, 36, and Prince Harry, 33.
She has already been introduced to Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
But things have not been easy for the Royal Family either. The Duke of Edinburgh, 96, has been recovering from a hip operation.
It has been touch-and-go as to whether he would be able to attend. But we have finally been notified that he will be able to see his grandson get married tomorrow.
The wedding will be widely watched across the world and is expected to raise hundreds of millions of pounds for the British economy and Britons around the country will be celebrating with the couple tomorrow.
